25. WarioWare: Smooth Moves
Thanks to its surprisingly great pack-in, the Wii became something of the go-to party game system. Like previous games, Smooth Moves is full of five-second 'microgames,' which test your dexterity and reflexes -- but since this a Wii party game, you also look like kind of a dingus while playing. But that's okay, because everyone gets their turn. Smooth Moves is one of the best examples of how to use the Wii for a fun multiplayer experience, while still recognizing the limitations of the controller. Plus I mean come on, it's Wario.
24. Disney Guilty Party
Is this a kid's game? Yes. But hidden underneath the sugar-coated veneer of Disney lies a pretty ingenious multiplayer game. It's more or less Mario Party meets Clue, minus the grisly murder inherent in the premise of the latter. Playing minigames helps you suss out descriptors for the game's culprit, who is different every time. It's in no way a hardcore experience, but it's still a delight to play with a good group. And unlike Mario Party, there aren't any stars to steal, so there's none of that pesky 'cleaning up your friend's blood off the floor' in the post-game.

- Wii Play, released as Your First Step to Wii (はじめてのWii, Hajimete no Uī) in Japan, is a party video game developed and published by Nintendo for the Wii console. It was released as a launch game for the console in Japan, Europe, and Australia, and was released in North America in February 2007.
- I finally had a chance to stop by Wii Play Games the other night with my family. As soon as you walk into the store you're surrounded by video game memorabilia, board-games, video games, video.
23. MadWorld
There are plenty of party games on the Wii, which is why it's so nice to find a single-player experience to sink your teeth into. Maybe one of the most unique examples is MadWorld, an ultra-violent actioner from the makers of Okami and Viewtiful Joe. Though the premise -- which throws you into a sadistic game show that's part Escape From New York and part Battle Royale -- is pretty wacky, the real draw here is the visuals. Almost everything in the game is rendered in stark, comic booky black and white, with one exception: the blood. Oh god, the blood. The result is like playing Sin City: The Video Game. With chainsaws.
22. Punch-Out!!
After skipping a few generations, Punch-Out finally came back in a big way. Thanks to the versatility of the Wii controller, you can either play it with motion controls or just turn it sideways and duke it out with Bald Bull the old fashioned way. When it comes down to it, isn't a whole lot that's different in the Wii version compared to the Mike Tyson days -- you know, besides featuring a convicted felon as the final boss. Probably the most noticeable change is the visuals, which are wonderfully cartoony and endlessly expressive. The beefy career mode was a nice addition too, leading up to a surprising (and tough as hell) final boss.
21. Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
This game made people cry. When it was finally unveiled, Zelda fans around the globe rejoiced at the 'realistic' version of Zelda they'd been waiting for ever since Wind Waker's art style proved to be so divisive. After a few weirder entries like WW and Majora's Mask, many saw Twilight Princess as the first true sequel to Ocarina of Time. It lived up to that expectation in a lot of ways, with a few twists like the Twilight World and Link's wolf transformation. Wind Waker may have held up better in the long run, but Twilight Princess is still a great Zelda game.
The Nintendo Wii U (simply called Wii U) is the successor of the Wii, the innovative and distinctive gaming console.

If you have this fun console, I know that you want to know the best Wii U games of all time.
Most of you will recognize some of the games mentioned on this list.

Try to survive against hordes of the undead in this mixture of first person action and survival horror set in London.
ZombiU is notable for a few reasons, specifically its difficulty level as well as its consequences when a player makes a mistake.
Using a variety of weapons and items, you progress through the dank streets and buildings of London, attempting to evade or destroy the roaming zombie hordes.

The story is also light and fun, giving players a fun adventure full of nostalgic quirks.
#48. Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed
Drift around turns and use fun power ups in this SEGA-inspired clone of popular kart racing games.
While many will argue that Mario Kart is the superior racing game on the Wii U, All-Stars Racing Transformed distinguishes itself with its impressive graphics and tight controls.
This game has a bit more weight and realism to the car physics when compared to other kart racers, offering up more opportunities to overtake opponents.
This game provides players with endless hours of quality racing on fun and inventive tracks.

#47. Nintendo Land
This early Wii U title showed off the power of the system with a variety of mini-games that highlighted the Wii U’s unique control scheme and creative possibilities.
Nintendo Land presents a variety of mini-games that can be played both single player and multiplayer, and each mini-game focuses on a unique feature of the Wii U.
Whether using the gamepad tablet in exciting ways, or using the gyroscopes to explore new multiplayer experiences, Nintendo Land is good at showing off the console’s capabilities.
While the mini-games might not have that much depth to them, the variety and a few standout games make the collection worth checking out, especially if you just purchased a Wii U.
#46. The Wonderful 101
This colorful action game dials up the ridiculous factor while also providing extensive combat options and impressive visuals to match.
The Wonderful 101 takes the expected gameplay of hack and slash action games and adds a unique mechnic to make things interesting.

By moving through each level and rescuing citizens, your horde grows in size and power.
Players can also use exciting special moves that unite the horde into performing outlandish and ridiculously powerful attacks.
#45. Yoshi’s Woolly World
Nintendo’s best dinosaur is back at it again, this time in the cute and cuddly land of Woolly World.
Woolly World stands out among other Wii U platformers thanks to its distinct art style and light-hearted nature.
In my opinon, the game is best played with a friend, as the relaxed pace and countless collectibles make for a fun multiplayer experience.
The game is full of joy, and it’s pretty hard to play without having a giant smile smeared across your face.
If you’re looking for a family friendly game that is super fun for all ages…look no further.
#44. Resident Evil: Revelations
This classic horror franchise makes its way to the Wii U with a port of the 3DS original game.
Taking place on a large ship adrift out at sea, you’ll have to explore the maze-like hallways to overcome the zombie virus threat. Install windows 10 without key.
Although Revelations is a port of a handheld game, the Wii U version amps things up in both the visuals department and by giving players helpful and unique control options.
The Wii U tablet makes life a bit easier by offering more simplistic inventory control and an interactive map.
The game still retains its survival horror roots, resulting in an intense and admittedly horrifying affair.
This is a Wii U game that is definitely not for kids, but horror fans will absolutely eat it up.
#43. Toki Tori 2
Hop into this beautifully rendered indie game, and control a lovable character as they traverse the wondrous and fantastical world within.
This sequel is quite different from the original Toki Tori, giving players new abilities to use.
Players can interact with the environment as well as the creatures that inhabit it, documenting their findings on a handy codex.
You move through levels, progressing by traversing the environment and altering it to solve puzzles.
The Wii U version of the game features new puzzles and music, bringing out even more content to this already fleshed out game.
The cute nature of Toki Tori 2 is only matched by its impressive amount of charm, which should leave players pleasantly surprised.
#42. Pushmo World
Put your wits to the test and stress your brain in this simplistic but complex puzzle game that remains interesting for hours on end.
Pushmo World is a sequel to both Pushmo and Crashmo, highly popular puzzle games that previously released on the 3DS.
This third game in the series expands upon the simplistic ideas of the first two games, without sacrificing what made them so great in this first place.
Solving puzzles is deceptively hard, as you must find your way to the top of a stack of blocks by manipulating them to forth a path.
In addition to the over 250 puzzles included in the game, Wii U owners can use the puzzle editor to create their own brain teasers and share them online with friends.

The open world of Lego City is fun to explore and full of side activities, ensuring endless hours of Lego fun.
Like most Lego games, Lego City Undercover can be played entirely in coop, and the open nature of the world lends to a sandbox feeling when playing.
Whether you’re following the story or just having a good time, Lego City Undercover is a great adventure for both solo and cooperative players.
#40. Affordable Space Adventures
After purchasing a cheap space tourism package, a lone traveler awakens on an extraterrestrial planet with no means of escape.
This downloadable title offers quirky humor, fun exploration, and a interesting take on the space adventure narrative.
Playing as an inexperienced space traveler, your ship suddenly crashes on a mysterious planet, leaving you stranded.
It’s up to the player to explore this mystical land and gather resources to ensure their survival.
While you explore, the ship is constantly self-repairing, occasionally offering new abilities and functionality for the player to take advantage of.
Despite the exploration-heavy nature of the game, Affordable Space Adventures offers an interesting mystery that is fun to unfold as you progress.
#39. Teslagrad
In a world ruled by an unfair king, a young boy escapes the clutches of some guards by escaping into an old abandoned tower.
Within it, he hopes to discover the history of his world along with some mystical powers.
Teslagrad stands out due to its impressive hand-drawn art, focus on puzzles, and its interesting take on magnetism.
As you explore the massive tower, you’ll gain the ability to magnetize to different colored blocks, opening up new areas that present new puzzles.
The game offers a decent amount of platforming as well as puzzle gameplay, and the lack of combat makes the experience a thoughtful one rather than a stressful one.
The simple underdog story is a heartfelt and emotional one, made even stronger by the impressive amount of atmosphere that the tower possesses.
#38. Scram Kitty and His Buddy on Rails
Blast foes and dodge obstacles in this inventive and unique on-rails shooter.
Unlike other on-rails shooters, Scram actually takes place on an unbroken rail that you ride along.

After a beloved King dies, a princess sets out to fulfill her father’s final wishes.
With the King’s remains resting on a chariot, the princess must push and pull it through numerous challenging puzzle levels.
While the gameplay of Chariot might seem simple, the fun play on physics makes this cooperative platformer deceptively difficult.
Either alone or with a friend, you must traverse the hilly landscapes of numerous stages, tugging the chariot along.
You’ll have to use your brain to navigate some very tricky spots, searching your surroundings for hidden treasures.
If you want to succeed in cooperative play, you’ll have to use communication and some decent strategy, making this a fun multiplayer adventure.

One of the best side characters in the Super Mario universe gets his time in the spotlight in this unique and perplexing puzzle adventure.
Treasure Tracker sees you moving around small stages as Toad, finding hidden collectibles and aiming to reach all the available stars.

Unleash your inner pyromaniac by setting numerous items ablaze in this simple yet subversive puzzle game.
Little Inferno is an extremely divisive experience due to its interesting and satirical approach to the puzzle genre.
You play from a first person perspective, sitting in front of a fireplace.
As you interact with items around you, you can place them in the fire, burning them and witnessing the results.
There’s no scoring system in the game, and only a few overall objectives to complete.
In many ways, Little Inferno is like your own personal sandbox; albeit with a lot of fire.
The game has been both praised and panned by critics, but the end result is still a wildly creative and perplexing game that pushes the limits on what to expect from indie titles.

By collecting hidden secrets, players can also unlock “retro levels”, which bring back the pixelated art style in some fun old school platforming levels.

Super Mario Maker is, at its core, a fantastic level editor that allows players to replicate their favorite levels by trying their hand at creating their own.
The level editor allows you to switch between the style of various Mario titles, letting you craft levels from Super Mario World, Super Mario Brothers 3, and more.
Although the creation tools are impressive, what’s more impressive are the thousands of levels that have been uploaded to the game since release.
If you’re a hardcore Mario player, Super Mario Maker is a must own, purely due to the insane amount of fun and creative levels that people have produced.
It’s easy to boot up the game and lose yourself for hours at a time, whether you’re creating your own level or playing the creations of other players.
#6. Shovel Knight
Gamestop Wii Play
This indie platformer captures lightning in a bottle, giving gamers a challenging experience that feels like it was pulled directly out of the 80’s.
Although many games try to recreate the look and feel of our favorite classic NES games, few do so with such success as Shovel Knight.
Despite the challenging nature of the game, the controls are easy to learn, making it a welcoming game for new players.
The basic idea of the game is also easy to understand, as you must simply travel from level to level, reaching the end of the stage in tact.
You control the titular Shovel Knight, who uses his digging power to crack open enemy skulls.

For instance, you can now equip a better sail, which lets you explore the map quickly with less downtime.
The end of the game has also been reworked, removing some tedious and repetitive quests for a more straightfoward ending.
#4. Bayonetta 2
Battle demons and angels in style as you control Bayonetta, a weapon wielding witch who has incredibly powers that are as cool to look at as they are effective at defeating enemies.
The original Bayonetta was wildly ambitious, and gave gamers a stylistic fantasy story with excellent hack and slash action.
The sequel amps everything up, resulting in an even more impressive package than the first.
Bayonetta 2‘s visuals are incredibly colorful and varied, as the game’s environment shift from dilapidated castles to literally floating among the clouds.
The combat system is a mixture of extensive combos and customization, with numerous weapons to equip.

The Super Smash Bros. series has always been great for parties as well as single player bouts, and the Wii U version heightens the player count to a level unseen in the franchise before.

The game features several fun modes for both single player and multiplayer groups, and contains a cast of over 50 playable characters.
The roster also features some new characters to the series, such as the popular Mega Man and classic gaming characters like Pac-Man.

This 3D Mario title is slightly different from past console adventures like Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Galaxy.
The camera is angled down, giving a sort of bird’s eye view of the level, which gives you plenty of vision as you run around the stage.
Each stage contains three hidden green stars, as well as an extra difficult stamp to find.

#1. Rayman Legends
This sequel to the popular platformer Rayman Origins delivers a refreshing artistic vision and matches it with platforming gameplay that can only be described as perfection.
Although many platforming games are full of life and adventure, few come close to the amount of pure fun that is offered by Rayman Legends.
If you’re a fan of platformers, Rayman Legends contains almost everything that draws you to the genre, from excellent level design and tight controls to fun secrets and a variety of gameplay modes.
When compared to other mainstream adventure games, one could argue that Legends is a bit basic, but I think that it succeeds in its simplicity.
The intoxicating and catchy soundtrack is made that much better when it is infused with the levels, as seen in a collection of truly remarkable stages that time your jumps with the beat.
You can play the game solo or with a friend, and the second player can interact with the level by using the Wii U’s touch screen gamepad.
You can face off against other players in a few competitive multiplayer mini-games, as well as compare your level completion times on worldwide leaderboards.
The game also offers an exceptional range of unlockable content, such as new characters, costumes, levels, and more.
There’s a certain artistic quality to Rayman Legends that is hard to quantify, and the end result is a riveting and addictive sidescrolling adventure that is endlessly fun to play.
