Hello everyone!

Over the weekend I purchased a 1943 Long Branch No.4Mk.I* Enfield. The person I bought it from had kept it in a gun cabinet for the past 20 years and had rarely taken it out in that time. The bore is in excellent shape and a few places on the rifle still had cosmoline pretty thick but didn't take much to have it looking like better.
Curious, and not trying to hijack this post, but my 303 has matching numbers but is No4 MK1 (F) FTR and has 1942 stamped near the thumb safety. Was just hoping to get a little history on this rifle and maybe a close to value. Thanks in advance cheers!
I personally am not familiar with the Enfield in general but the rifle with 2 full boxes of ammo (both still had a $34 price tag on them) seemed a little too good to pass up for $250.
I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea of how much these rifles typically run on the market or if anyone knew of anything I needed to know when it comes to the Enfield itself since this is my first.
